Problem Solver

In 1995 I stumbled into Information Technology. I had been pursuing a career in law and needed a job to help stave off the costs of student loans.  I ended up working for a bank in a support capacity and it was there that I first began working on a computer. 
I discovered a certain knack for troubleshooting and fixing the office computers and that altered my career path. 
While I started out in a desktop support role my true passion was securing systems from unauthorized access.  That passion turned into a career now 20+ years long in information security.  I have work with fortune 10 financial services organizations, one of the most successful M&A law firms as well as numerous high profile companies around the world.  While the organizations were different it was their need to operate securely that links them together.  While I am an information security professional, I consider myself first and foremost a problem solver.  
This blog grew out of a desire to share my views on security events in the news as well as a way to make myself available to those seeking guidance with their information security concerns.
